1,500 Followers, Seven Gifts and Counting

In celebration of our new name and our commitment to children, we told the Twitter community for every 200 followers @ChildFund receives, agricultural gifts would be given to families and children in The Gambia, Zambia, Kenya and Ethiopia from our Gifts of Love and Hope catalog.  Children in Ethiopia

We’re proud to say it’s only been 10 days since the campaign launch and we’ve already given seven gifts! Thank you to our 1,500-plus followers for making this happen.

Additionally, we’d like to thank the following blogs for joining us in the fight to help underprivileged children across the globe:

Beth’s Blog: How Nonprofits Can use Social Media
Colin’s Blog
Giving in a digital world
The Raiser’s Razor
ServeNext.org Blog
Next Communications
A. Fine Blog
Alex De Carvalho
Sue Anne Reed

We have seven more days – this campaign will end July 27 – to give children and their families more gifts. Encourage your friends to make a difference by following @ChildFund and tell them the more the followers, the more gifts these children and families receive. Let them know how they can be instrumental in helping a school in The Gambia, or a family farm in Zambia receive a goat, among other things. Join us in our commitment to children’s welfare by following us @ChildFund.

Once the campaign ends, we’ll send the gifts to the communities. We’re also sending cameras so we can share firsthand how these gifts make a difference in the lives of the individuals and the community. We want you to know that your efforts are leading to the well-being of the world.
